Uponeup Ecological Experience Center, Enjoy Winter Events for Free

From December to February, every Sunday: 'Yeonnalligi' and 'Nature Craft Experience' etc.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] The Changnyeong-gun Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam is conducting a 'Winter Event' at the Upo Wetland Ecological Experience Center, where visitors can create healthy and enjoyable memories during the cold winter.

This event will take place every Sunday (a total of 13 times) from December to February next year, offering hands-on experiences with natural materials and kite flying within the experience center. The natural materials workshop includes four programs: making animals from natural materials, creating natural landscapes with bamboo, making trees with pine cones, and writing poetry on Hanji paper frames. All programs are free of charge.

The Upo Wetland Ecological Experience Center is established on a spacious area of 89,400㎡, where many tourists enjoy walking. It features 11 aquatic plant complexes that replicate the Upo Wetland and an exhibition hall displaying 13 species of fish (such as snakehead fish, crucian carp, and catfish), where visitors can freely participate in fish feeding experiences.

Director Kim Yang-deuk said, “We hope visitors enjoy the event at the Upo Wetland Ecological Experience Center in the eco-tourism city of Changnyeong, and also visit the nearby Santokki Norae Dongsan, the hometown of wild rabbits, to feel nature and find healing with their families.”
