[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Lotte Cultural Foundation announced on the 30th that it will hold the ‘Amur Musik’ concert in collaboration with the Korea National Firefighters Association at 5 p.m. on the 4th.
This concert was planned to invite firefighters and their families who are responsible not only for fire incidents but also for overall daily safety, to express gratitude for their hard work and dedication, and to provide a time for the firefighting families to share warm-heartedness together as the year ends.
In particular, this performance presents various forms of love embodied in music through a collaboration with contemporary dance. Prokofiev’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is reinterpreted through contemporary dance and music, conducted by Seo Jin, with the Joy Symphony Orchestra expanding from the usual chamber ensemble to a larger orchestra. Company J, choreographed by Jung Jaehyuk, delivers dense movements harmonizing with the music.
The concert is organized by the Korea National Firefighters Association, which accepted viewing applications from firefighters nationwide. About 1,200 firefighting family members working in fire departments across the country, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Jeonnam, will participate, making it a more meaningful occasion.
Kim Seongwang, CEO of Lotte Cultural Foundation, said, “It is meaningful to hold a concert for firefighters who are responsible for safety not only during the fire-prone winter season but throughout daily life,” and added, “We will continue to hold meaningful performances for those working hard in various parts of society to fulfill corporate social responsibility.”
