[Seoul District News] Dobong-gu Expands Chang1-dong Public Parking Lot to 3 Floors, Creates Community Space for Residents and Merchants & Opening Celebration on 9-10th with Performances, One-Day Workshop Classes, Gift Giveaways, and Discount Events Across Ssangnidan-gil
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will hold the opening ceremony of the multipurpose community space "Ssangridan-gil Platform, Moduon" (43 Dobong-ro 112-gil) in Chang 1-dong on December 8.
Moduon, the Ssangridan-gil platform created by expanding the third floor of the Chang 1-dong public parking lot, is a community space for revitalizing the Ssangridan-gil commercial district and serving residents, equipped with a lounge area, multipurpose room, merchants' office, and meeting rooms.
The opening ceremony, held on the 8th in the Moduon multipurpose room, will be attended by Chang 1-dong residents, Ssangridan-gil merchants, Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eon-seok, city council members, and district council members, featuring progress reports, ribbon cutting, and facility tours.
The winter event "Moduon" celebrating the opening of the "Ssangridan-gil Platform, Moduon" will take place on the 9th and 10th throughout the Ssangridan-gil shopping area (the alleys inside Exit 2 of Ssangmun Station). The event name "Moduon" carries the warm invitation meaning of "모두 溫 (all warm), 모두 on (all on), 모두 온 (all come)."
On both days, small music performances such as Ssangridan-gil music cafe and alley busking will be held at some cafes and stores, and Moduon will host a one-day class called "Small Workshop," where participants can experience making Christmas wreaths and hanging ornaments.
There are also plenty of participation events. Visitors who take commemorative photos at the Ssangridan-gil photo zone and post them on SNS with hashtags (#Ssangridan-gil #Moduon #EarlyChristmas), or bring reusable containers for takeout or purchase receipts from Ssangridan-gil stores, will receive Ssangridan-gil goods at Moduon.
Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eon-seok said, "I am pleased that more and more people are coming to love Ssangridan-gil, a pride of Ssangmun Station in Dobong-gu. We will continue to work with the merchants' association to make Ssangridan-gil a place visited by many, using the Moduon space as a stepping stone."
