[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Park Jong-won, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council (Democratic Party of Korea, Damyang 1), met with 67 students from Damyangnam Elementary School who participated in the 'Youth Assembly Classroom' at the Jeonnam Provincial Council plenary session hall on the 29th, encouraging them to grow into mature democratic citizens.

The Youth Assembly Classroom is an event where Jeonnam province youths directly operate the assembly to foster interest in local autonomy and cultivate democratic citizenship awareness.

The event proceeded in the order of Q&A, chairperson election, quiz class, 3-minute free speech, and completion ceremony.

After exchanging warm greetings with the students, Councilor Park Jong-won had an open communication session through Q&A.

Councilor Park said, “The experience of respecting each other's opinions and handling agenda items through democratic decision-making processes is an important education for growing into excellent democratic citizens,” adding, “I hope this will be a valuable opportunity to directly experience and feel democracy beyond just learning it in the classroom.”
