[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Park Man (44) was elected as the 20th chairman of the Gwangju Bank Labor Union.
The Gwangju Bank Labor Union announced on the 29th that Park Man was elected as a result of a vote held on the 16th for all union members.
Park was elected with 60.4% (553 votes) and will lead the Gwangju Bank Labor Union for three years starting February next year, along with Vice Chairmen Lim Hyun-cheol and Jo Soo-yeon, and Secretary General Jo Sung-hwan.
He joined Gwangju Bank in 2006 and has gained widespread trust from union members through various roles at Hanam Industrial Complex Branch, Muan Branch, Nam Gwangju Branch, and the Institutional Sales Department.
His main pledges include simplifying KPIs and introducing an absolute evaluation system, abolishing out-of-area transfers, improving parental leave (leave of absence) systems, and enhancing practical evaluations and training systems.
Park said, “I thank the union members who supported me with hope for the change and development of Gwangju Bank. I will empathize, judge, and act from the perspective of the union members,” adding, “I will communicate with the members and unite as one union to responsibly resolve current issues.”
