[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education held the ‘2022 2nd Seorona Sharing School Joint Network’ on the 29th at the JW Convention Center in Buk-gu.
This joint network was held for mutual cooperation and partnership to achieve co-growth, with about 120 participants including principals, vice principals, teachers, administrative directors, education affairs staff, and parents from six groups.
Reflecting on the past year, the operation cases of each Seorona Sharing School were shared to summarize the network’s operational achievements such as the process of school innovation and conflict resolution, and plans for next year’s operation were discussed.
The network, which started along with the operation of Seorona Sharing Schools in 2019, is operated as an autonomous consultative body where education communities by group collaboratively research and solve common problems and issues of the region and schools.
Since 2020, the network has expanded from four groups?principals, vice principals, teachers, and parents?to include two additional groups: administrative directors and education affairs staff, making a total of six groups participating.
This year, including the 1st joint network held in April, a total of 32 networks were operated: 3 principal networks, 2 vice principal networks, 5 teacher networks, 2 education affairs staff networks, 1 administrative director network, and 18 parent networks.
Based on the discussions in this network, the Ulsan Office of Education plans to establish the 2023 plan to support the Seorona Sharing School network to continue as a substantial driving force for school innovation.
An official from the city education office said, “The operation of the network has significantly contributed to forming mutual understanding and consensus among the Seorona Sharing School education communities,” and added, “We hope that the Seorona Sharing School network, based on the spontaneity and collegiality among education communities, will continue to be a driving force for ongoing school innovation.”
