Kim Dong-yeon: "I will do my best to ensure everyone can safely join the World Cup cheering tonight" Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon is smiling brightly while watching the World Cup with the residents.

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 28th at 10 PM that he will do his best to ensure that everyone can safely participate in cheering for the Korea vs. Ghana match.


Governor Kim posted on Twitter that "Tonight at 10 PM, the Korea vs. Ghana World Cup second group stage match will take place," and "Gyeonggi Province will hold a cheering event at Suwon World Cup Stadium, wishing for victory."


He added, "In preparation for the forecasted rain and cold wave tonight, we have prepared raincoats, hot packs, and winter tents," and promised, "We will do our best so that everyone can participate with peace of mind."


To prevent safety accidents, Gyeonggi Province will deploy a total of 344 personnel on site, including public officials from Gyeonggi Province and Suwon City, staff from the Gyeonggi World Cup Stadium Management Foundation, police, firefighters, and security personnel. Additionally, the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters will station 4 ambulances and 1 fire truck to prepare for emergencies.


A provincial official explained, "If citizens want to participate in the cheering event, they can enter through the main stadium's west stand entrances 1A and 1B starting from 7 PM, three hours before the game time, without any separate application procedure," and added, "Alcohol, fireworks, and other items hazardous to safety are prohibited from being brought in upon entry."
