[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok expressed his determination to win the general election at a public event on the 28th.

Former leader Lee attended the publication celebration of People Power Party lawmaker Heo Eun-ah held at a cafe in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, in the afternoon, stating, "I am currently considering strategies for winning the general election," and added, "Since I have lost three general elections, the fourth time must be the charm." Lawmaker Heo previously served as the party's chief spokesperson during Lee's leadership.

Lee emphasized, "Everyone knows that winning an election ultimately requires the convergence of people, candidates, and everything else," and said, "At this moment, individual progress by each person is happening, and at some point, it will be necessary to combine those efforts to create a wave."

He also commented on the current state of the party. Lee said, "These days, nothing about the concerns of our party's lawmakers is being conveyed to the public. If you take a brief step back from Yeouido and watch the news, our lawmakers have long disappeared," adding, "The media only reports about who had a quarrel with whom, but if we include various concerns, I think we can secure a diverse support base."

Since his 'party membership suspension,' Lee has rarely appeared in public and is known to be focusing on writing his book. It is expected that he will resume political activities in line with the book's publication.

After the publication celebration, Lee left the venue riding a shared bicycle called 'Ddareungi' without answering reporters' questions.
