According to KB Financial on the 28th, the discussion marathon "KB Solverton" was held from the 24th to the 26th at KB Insurance Suwon Talentium.
Chairman Yoon held a passionate 150-minute discussion on enhancing the global competitiveness of Korean finance, creating social value, and KB management issues.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Yoon emphasized the importance of discussion, listening, and collective intelligence. He said, "The three-day, two-night KB Solverton final schedule will be a valuable experience of listening to each other's voices and finding solutions together."
During the Q&A session held as the first order, in line with the competition slogan "Manage KB," a heated discussion took place between the current KB Financial CEO and the fictional university student CEOs.
Questions and answers continued on various topics such as platform strategy, MyData services, climate finance, and carbon neutrality, focusing on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance), a recent issue in the financial market and a global trend. In particular, the Indonesia special team introduced the Korean Wave sweeping Southeast Asia and proposed ways to link the Korean Wave with finance.
During the lunch box luncheon that followed, Chairman Yoon continued the lively discussion with the university student participants. He enthusiastically answered questions about KB Financial's current issues and also offered advice on stress management and overcoming slumps.
Meanwhile, the KB Solverton finals, held over three days and two nights from the 24th to the 26th, featured team presentations and discussions on four themes: Digital, ESG, Global, and New Growth. The teams that advanced to the quarterfinals included Hyeja (Sungkyunkwan University), Rivari (Hanyang University), Tomorrow (Hongik University), Pykl (Seoul National University), KBJG (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies), Hwanggeumnachimban (Jeonbuk National University), Seongdaehan KB (Sungkyunkwan University), and White Hat (Korea University).
The KB Solverton quarterfinals are scheduled to be held online on the 28th, and the finals will take place on the 1st of next month at the new building of KB Kookmin Bank.
