[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Starbucks Korea announced on the 28th that it will launch the small business win-win beverage ‘Real Gongju Chestnut Latte’ at 120 small business cafes nationwide on the 5th of next month.
The Real Gongju Chestnut Latte is a beverage made with chestnuts from Gongju, Chungnam, a domestic agricultural product that can be enjoyed sweetly and savory, utilizing domestic chestnuts that harmonize with the winter season.
On the same day, at the Starbucks Academy in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, Starbucks held a delivery ceremony to commemorate the launch of the Real Gongju Chestnut Latte, sharing the achievements of the first win-win beverage ‘Hallamungyeong Sweety’ together with the Win-Win Growth Committee, the National Cafe Owners Cooperative, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and celebrating the release of the second win-win beverage.
Starbucks previously launched the first win-win beverage ‘Hallamungyeong Sweety’ in August.
The target small business cafes for the sale of this second beverage increased by 20 locations compared to the first win-win beverage launch, totaling 120 nationwide. The National Cafe Owners Cooperative and the Win-Win Growth Committee selected 120 locations considering various environmental conditions such as sales, regional balance, and motivation for support among small cafes. Starbucks continues win-win activities to practically increase cafe sales by providing key raw material support and beverage manufacturing education to small business cafes.
This win-win beverage will be sold in a limited quantity of 60,000 cups.
