"Winter Fairy Tale Christmas" InterContinental Parnas Launches Cake

Introducing a Total of 11 Varieties Including Limited Edition Cakes
Portion of Cake Sales Proceeds to Be Donated to Charity Campaigns

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, operated by Parnas Hotel, announced on the 28th that it will present 11 types of '2022 InterContinental Festive Cakes' inspired by winter fairy tales.

The 'Merry-Go-Round' cake, which recreates the carousel from fairy tales, is a chocolate art cake completed through more than 8 hours of delicate handcrafting by chocolatiers. It is made with a deer decoration crafted from Valrhona's 100th anniversary chocolate and various flavored chocolate bonbons beneath red macarons.

Other offerings include the two-tiered 'White Candle Cake' depicting a praying baby angel next to a pure white candle that holds an unextinguishable light, the 'Snowball Cake' which features a music box realized with a transparent sugar dome, and the 'Centennial Ganache Cake' that offers a luxurious sweetness with Valrhona's 100th anniversary commemorative Guanaja 80% chocolate ganache. These festive special edition cakes, boasting splendid visuals and delicate details, will be sold in limited quantities of 30 each throughout December. Orders can be placed through advance reservation one week prior.

The 'I-Bear Igloo Cake,' inspired by InterContinental's signature teddy bear I-Bear, will also make its debut this year. As part of Parnas Hotel's 'Christmas Tree of Hope' charity campaign celebrating its 20th anniversary, a portion of the cake sales proceeds will be donated to the Community Chest of Korea (Saram-ui Yeolmae).

The 'White Christmas Cake' pays homage to the giant mother-of-pearl Christmas tree installed in the InterContinental Parnas lobby lounge & bar. Limited to 10 cakes per day, the 'White Christmas Cake' can be reserved 48 hours in advance.
