The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 27th at midnight that 47,028 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total to 26,937,516.
Due to a decrease in diagnostic tests over the weekend, the number of new cases dropped by 5,760 compared to the previous day (52,788 cases).
In the recent resurgence, the increase in new cases has appeared to be gradual. From the 21st to today, the daily new cases were 23,077 → 72,860 → 70,306 → 59,082 → 53,698 → 52,788 → 47,028, averaging 54,119 cases per day.
On this day, the number of critically ill patients was 481, an increase of 3 from the previous day (478). It has remained in the 400s for nine consecutive days since the 19th and has shown an increasing trend for three consecutive days since the 24th.
The number of deaths on the previous day was 39, 13 fewer than the day before (52). The cumulative death toll is 30,369, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
