‘Let's Go on an Errand with the Goryeo Treasure Ship’ Experiential Education Program... Ulsan Museum for Multicultural Immigrant Families Exhibition view of the Ulsan Museum special exhibition 'Secrets of the Goryeo Sea ? Traces of Maritime Exchange 800 Years Ago'.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulsan Museum is operating an experiential education program titled "Let's Run Errands on the Goryeo Treasure Ship" for multicultural immigrant families.

The program targets families including elementary school students from multicultural immigrant families, recruiting 10 families per session.

The sessions will be held a total of six times: ▲December 3 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ▲December 6 at 4 p.m. ▲December 8 at 4 p.m. ▲December 10 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The main content is linked to Ulsan Museum’s 3rd special exhibition, "Secrets of the Goryeo Sea ? Traces of Maritime Exchange 800 Years Ago," focusing on the themes of "exchange" and "trade."

Children will embark on errands aboard the Goryeo treasure ship, discovering artifacts from the Goryeo period and conducting trade with merchants from various countries. Meanwhile, parents can understand the artifacts and background that children will learn about through exhibition tours including guided explanations.

Additionally, a hands-on activity is prepared where children share information about the traded artifacts with their parents in the exhibition hall and create wooden tablets together.

The program is free of charge, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. on November 25 to 6 p.m. on December 8 via the Ulsan City public facility reservation website.

For more details, please refer to the Ulsan Museum website.

An official from Ulsan Museum stated, "Just as diverse cultures coexist today, during the Goryeo period, exchanges and trade with neighboring countries allowed people to recognize and understand different cultures. We have prepared this program to facilitate that understanding," adding, "We hope this educational program becomes a time to understand and learn from each other."

The special exhibition "Secrets of the Goryeo Sea ? Traces of Maritime Exchange 800 Years Ago" can be viewed at the Ulsan Museum’s special exhibition hall until December 11.
