‘Beautiful and Sturdy Nutritional Apple’, Participates in Daegu Gyeongbuk Apple Offline Promotion Event ... Promoting ‘Clean Nature’

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang County, Gyeongbuk, participated in the 2022 Gyeongbuk Apple Promotion Event held for three days from the 25th to the 27th at the west square of Daegu Stadium, promoting Yeongyang apples that embrace 'pure nature.'

Marking its 17th year, this event was the first large-scale offline promotional event held in recent years after being suspended due to COVID-19. It was held under the theme 'GYEONGBUK APPLE’S BACK,' focusing on securing consumer trust and boosting consumption.

Hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and 15 apple-producing cities and counties, the event began with an opening ceremony on the 25th and featured various exhibitions and experiential events such as city and county-specific promotions and special sales, operation of the Gyeongbuk Apple Premium Pavilion, and consumer promotion events.

At the Yeongyang County sales and promotion booth within the event venue, 400 boxes (2.5 kg each) of Yeongyang apples were sold at a special discounted price of 6,000 KRW, and consumers were introduced to excellent quality Yeongyang agricultural and specialty products such as colorful red pepper powder, Chohwaju (flower wine), honey, and traditional sauces through tasting and sampling events.

Oh Do-chang, Mayor of Yeongyang County and chairman of the Gyeongbuk Apple Producing Cities and Counties Market and County Heads Council this year, said, “I am very pleased to hold the apple promotion event in Daegu, the origin of Gyeongbuk apples, and I hope that this grand offline event held for the first time in three years will be a great support to the apple farmers in Gyeongbuk.”
