[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Department Store announced on the 27th that it will be the first retailer to introduce an offline space for the limited edition trading platform ‘KREAM’ on the 2nd floor of Jamsil Lotte World Mall on the 29th.

KREAM is Korea’s leading limited edition trading platform, boasting the number one market share domestically. It is especially popular among young customers, with over 80% of its total users belonging to Generation Z (Millennials + Generation Z).

At the KREAM space, a drop zone will be operated where customers can directly register items they want to sell. Customers can bring the items they wish to sell directly to the store without needing to send them by courier and apply for sale on-site. The items received will be inspected by experts affiliated with KREAM to verify authenticity and condition, determining whether the transaction can proceed. After passing inspection, KREAM stores the items and, once the transaction is finalized, ships them to the buyer. Sellers receive the sales amount minus a certain commission fee.

A showroom where popular limited edition products can be seen all in one place has also been created. Popular items such as sneakers, clothing, and accessories will be displayed, with exhibits changed regularly to provide customers with a variety of attractions. In the future, new brand products and collaboration items will be introduced exclusively.

To commemorate this opening, a lucky draw event will be held until the 8th of next month. Entries can be made through kiosks installed in the store. A Lotte Department Store official said, “We hope the KREAM offline space will establish itself as a complex cultural space where MZ generation customers can enjoy and share various cultures,” adding, “We will continue to strive to offer a variety of special content.”
