[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The 22nd Ulsan City Superintendent of Education Cup Gymnastics Competition and the 52nd National Youth Sports Festival Representative Selection Competition will be held over two days on the 26th and 27th at Wolpyeong Elementary School Gymnastics Hall.
These two competitions are hosted by the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education and organized by the Ulsan Gymnastics Association, aiming to simultaneously discover young gymnastics talents early, nurture outstanding athletes, and select representatives for the 52nd National Youth Sports Festival.
The competition features a total of 73 participants, including athletes belonging to school sports teams and elementary school gymnastics hopefuls, competing while strictly adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines and prioritizing student safety management.
The competition is divided into eight student divisions and two K-GymStar level certification divisions. Depending on the number of participants in each division, students placing up to joint third place in the student divisions will be awarded the Superintendent of Education Award, and those in the K-GymStar level certification divisions will receive the Association President's Award.
An official from the city education office stated, “We hope this will be an opportunity for gymnastics hopefuls to have a broader stage, and we will continue to expand educational support to nurture outstanding gymnastics athletes in the future.”
