Adolescents Needing After-School Care Provided with Learning and Specialized Experiential Activities
Notice for Recruitment of Participants in Gijang-gun Youth After-School Academy (Cultural Etiquette School).
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan Gijang-gun is currently recruiting new participants for the ‘2023 Youth After-School Academy’ to support the healthy growth of adolescents.
The ‘Youth After-School Academy’ is a program that provides comprehensive services such as learning and specialized experience activities for adolescents who need after-school care. It is operated free of charge and is held at the ‘Gijang-gun Cultural Etiquette School (located in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun)’ and the ‘Gijang-gun Youth Training Center (located in Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun)’ respectively.
The ‘Gijang Cultural Etiquette School’ specializes in fostering proper character through etiquette education and traditional cultural experiences, and is recruiting 18 prospective 4th-grade elementary school students and 6 prospective 5th-grade elementary school students on a first-come, first-served basis.

At the ‘Gijang-gun Youth Training Center,’ various job experiences and career activities are specialized to focus on career, occupation, and academic advancement. They are recruiting 20 prospective 6th-grade elementary school students and 20 prospective 1st-grade middle school students in Jeonggwan-eup on a first-come, first-served basis.
The ‘After-School Academy’ operates year-round from January to December. The main curriculum includes ▲assignment guidance ▲learning support for major subjects such as Korean, English, and Math ▲arts activities such as music, sports, and crafts ▲life science activities focused on experiments and experiences ▲life support including meals and shuttle bus operation ▲and special activities such as weekend experiential activities and camps.
