[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] DGB Daegu Bank held the '2022 Love Kimchi Sharing' event on the 23rd at the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross to help local residents have a warm winter.
The Love Kimchi Sharing event, one of DGB Daegu Bank's representative winter social contribution activities, marked its 15th year this year in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross.
About 50 new employees from DGB Daegu Bank's Companion Volunteer Group, along with about 50 Red Cross volunteers and RCY members, totaling around 100 people, participated directly in making and packaging kimchi.
A total of 10,000 kg of kimchi prepared this year will be delivered to 1,000 vulnerable local households (10 kg per household) who are experiencing economic difficulties in preparing kimchi due to reduced external support caused by COVID-19 and recent price increases.
Im Seong-hoon, President of DGB Daegu Bank, said, "We hope everyone receiving the heartfelt kimchi will have a warm and healthy winter," and added, "DGB Daegu Bank will fulfill its social responsibilities and continue various social contribution activities."
