Providing Opportunities for Experiencing Various Administrative Tasks and Proposing Policies
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting participants for the "2023 Winter Vacation University Student Administrative Internship Program" from the 25th of this month until December 2nd.
The number of selected participants is 120. Applicants must have their resident registration address in Jinju City or be enrolled students at universities located in Jinju City. For 4-year universities, only students in their 3rd or 4th year are eligible (however, for 6-year programs, 5th or 6th-year students, and for 5-year programs, 4th or 5th-year students may apply). For 2- or 3-year colleges, only students in their final year may apply.
On the other hand, students on leave of absence, graduates, dropouts, students from the Korea National Open University, and university students who have already participated in this program are excluded.
The working period is from January 2, 2023, to January 31, 2023, with a 5-day workweek and 6 hours per day. Upon completion, a salary of approximately 1,480,000 KRW will be paid, calculated based on the minimum hourly wage of 9,620 KRW, including weekly holiday allowance and snack expenses.
The candidates will be selected by a computer random draw on December 7. The selected interns will be assigned to the city hall, business offices, eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers, libraries, and other locations to assist with various administrative tasks.
A city official stated, "We hope that through this program, university students preparing for employment will gain experience in various administrative fields and that it will be a good opportunity to explore their career paths. We encourage many interested young people to participate."
