[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) announced on the 22nd that it held the '2022 Rechallenge Day' event to spread a rechallenge culture that regards entrepreneurial experience as a social asset and a stepping stone for new challenges across society.
On this day, the '2022 Rechallenge Day' event was held in the order of announcing support plans for rechallenge entrepreneurs, celebrating and encouraging contributors to revitalizing re-entrepreneurship and successful re-entrepreneurship companies, and a communication session between re-entrepreneurship companies and investors, with government, private collaborative companies, and investors gathered. Excellent rechallenge cases included presentations by CEO Lee Jun-gyu of Bendit, CEO Kim Jeong-hyun of Rebuilder AI, and CEO Kim Sang-min of Jihaeng IT.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to newly support in the next year by providing in-kind support worth 1 billion KRW annually to re-entrepreneurship companies, joint commercialization, and promotion of recovery support. Minister Lee Young said, "We will further supplement and develop the Rechallenge Success Package project according to field demands so that it can become a more reliable and meticulous safety net for SMEs facing the triple crisis."
Minister Lee also said, "We will focus our policy capabilities on creating an environment where rechallenge is possible through public-private cooperation so that startup failure is not a setback but a process for another challenge."
