[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Golden Blue International has signed an exclusive import and distribution contract for 'Nomad Outland Whiskey' with Spanish comprehensive liquor company Gonzalez Byass and is currently selling the product.
Nomad Outland Whiskey is a blended whiskey with a sweet sherry aroma, created through a collaboration between Antonio Flores, the winemaker and master blender of Gonzalez Byass, and Richard Patterson, a Scottish master blender.
Nomad Outland Whiskey is blended by selecting more than 30 malt whiskeys and grain whiskeys aged for 5 to 8 years at distilleries in Scotland's Highlands and Speyside. Afterward, it is aged for 3 years in Scotland in various types of sherry casks (Pino, Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez), then the raw spirit is transferred to the Jerez region of Spain, where it undergoes additional aging for at least one year in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks in the aging warehouses of Gonzalez Byass winery. The alcohol content is 41.3%.
A Golden Blue representative explained, "We expect it to lower the entry barrier for whiskey beginners with a reasonable price," adding, "It is a product that can be enjoyed without burden as a highball, which has recently become a whiskey drinking trend."
