[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Hugel announced on the 21st that it held an online town hall meeting to commemorate its 21st anniversary on the 18th.


Under the theme of 'History made by Hugel in 2022, new history to be made by Hugel in 2023,' the town hall meeting was held to present the major management achievements of this year to employees and to share the business goals and vision for the new year.


Jihun Son, CEO of Hugel, cited 'global territory expansion' as a major achievement this year and expressed his gratitude to the employees for their dedicated efforts to bring Hugel one step closer to the vision of becoming a global medical aesthetic market leader.


This year, Hugel obtained product approval for the botulinum toxin product 'Botulax' in 11 major European countries and Canada. In other countries such as Brazil, Taiwan, and Thailand, differentiated local marketing strategies led to sales exceeding targets. The HA filler brand 'The Chaeum' began its first shipment after obtaining product approval in China, making Hugel the first domestic company to enter both the toxin and filler markets in China.


The main goal for next year is to advance global expansion through strengthening internal systems. Hugel plans to build an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to reinforce financial and resource management, and maximize production capacity by expanding the third factory to actively respond to the rapidly increasing global demand.


The event also included awards for long-term employees. A total of 28 employees, including 13 with 10 years of service and 25 with 5 years of service, received plaques and monetary awards in appreciation of their dedication.


CEO Son said, "Over the past 21 years, Hugel has written a successful history of expanding into Asia, Europe, North America, and South America based on outstanding technology, product quality, and sales capabilities," adding, "We will continue to make company-wide efforts to ensure Hugel’s sustained growth as a global leading company."
