Yeongyang-gun 'Onshim Market' Establishes Integrated Platform with Gyeongbuk Hometown Market 'Saiso'.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will newly open the Yeongyang-gun Onsim Market from the 21st, following the completion of the integrated platform construction of the online shopping mall ‘Onsim Market’ and the Gyeongbuk hometown market ‘Saiso’.
Yeongyang-gun Onsim Market is an online shopping mall of Yeongyang-gun that was renamed from ‘Yeongyang Hometown Market’ to ‘Onsim Market’ in 2021.
Currently, about 40 farms and 80 products are listed, and while seeking expansion plans to increase online customers and improve direct transaction performance, this integrated platform construction project was promoted.
The Gyeongbuk hometown market ‘Saiso’ is an online shopping mall of Gyeongbuk Province established in 2007, currently hosting about 1,500 farms and 10,000 products, and has secured consumers through various affiliated malls.
This integrated platform construction project has been strategically promoted by the Gyeongbuk Agricultural Food Distribution Education Promotion Institute, in consultation with cities and counties in the province since last year. Last year, 7 cities and counties participated, and this year, 9 cities and counties including Yeongyang-gun are participating.
Also, starting next year, it plans to actively promote integrated marketing of Gyeongbuk agricultural and specialty products as the largest metropolitan-level online platform.
Mayor Oh Do-chang said, “This integrated platform construction is a project to promote the sales of excellent local agricultural and specialty products and secure urban consumers. We will thoroughly manage products based on the principle of supplying safe agricultural products to secure trust between Yeongyang-gun producers and consumers. Keeping pace with the rapidly changing times, we will operate both online and offline, and continue active marketing to expand the online sales channels of ‘Onsim Market’ and increase farm income.”
