On the 18th, Sports Chosun reported, citing an entertainment insider, that Lee Seung-gi sent a certified letter requesting transparent disclosure of settlements from Hook Entertainment. It was predicted that if a satisfactory response is not received within a few days, he will proceed with contract termination.
Lee Seung-gi debuted in 2004 and has been with the agency for 18 years. Last year, he announced the establishment of his one-man agency Human Made, but suddenly drew attention by signing a management contract again with Hook Entertainment.
Hook Entertainment has not commented on this matter. On the 10th, the Major Crimes Investigation Division of the National Police Agency conducted a search and seizure at Hook Entertainment’s office located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The specific reason has not been disclosed, but there have been claims that it is related to embezzlement allegations against some executives. The day before, Youn Yuh-jung was also rumored to be parting ways with Hook Entertainment, but the agency stated that the rumors are 'unfounded.'
