Ioniq 6 North America Debut
Kia Seltos New Model & EV6 GT
Jose Munoz, Hyundai Motor Company's Global Chief Operating Officer, is introducing the Ioniq 6 and N Vision 74 at the '2022 LA Auto Show' held at the LA Convention Center in the United States on the 17th (local time). [Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the electric vehicle Ioniq 6 for the first time in the North American market at the 2022 LA Auto Show held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on the 17th (local time).
The vehicle is scheduled to be launched in the North American region in the first half of next year. Jose Munoz, Hyundai Motor's Global Chief Operating Officer, said, "The new car will meet the expectations of North American customers interested in transitioning to eco-friendly vehicles," adding, "It is equipped with specifications that satisfy customers and will lead the competition against other models."
At this event, the high-performance rolling lab (mobile research lab) vehicle ‘N Vision 74’ was also unveiled for the first time in North America. It is the first hydrogen hybrid rolling lab of Hyundai’s high-performance dedicated brand N, developed by combining a battery motor and hydrogen fuel cell. Its advantages include long-range travel powered by hydrogen and fast charging speed. Hyundai will exhibit a total of 24 vehicles at this event, including the Ioniq 6, Ioniq 5, Nexo, Kona EV, Tucson Hybrid, and Santa Fe Hybrid.
Kia introduced the new model of the compact SUV Seltos for the first time at this event. It is a product-improved model released after the 2019 launch, with the local release scheduled for the first half of next year. They also announced the local launch of the high-performance electric vehicle EV6 GT. In addition, Kia plans to showcase the full lineup of the eco-friendly dedicated model Niro (Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), Electric Vehicle), Telluride, Sorento Hybrid and PHEV, and Sportage Hybrid and PHEV.

Jim Sharifi, editor of the media outlet, said, "They received high marks for offering advanced driver assistance systems and the latest infotainment technology at competitive prices."
