[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County and Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, are seeking joint development through mutual friendly cooperation.
On the 17th, Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced that it signed a sisterhood agreement with Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City at Hampyeong County Office for the joint development and prosperity of the two cities.
About 30 people attended the agreement ceremony, including Lee Sang-ik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, Kim Byeong-nae, Mayor of Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, Yoon Aeng-rang, Chairman of Hampyeong County Council, and Hwang Kyung-ah, Chairman of Nam-gu Council, Gwangju.
Through the agreement, the two organizations promised to promote various exchange projects in fields such as ▲linked promotion of cultural and tourism resources ▲activation of mutual local festivals ▲expansion of sales channels for agricultural and marine products.
The county expects synergy effects in various aspects through the agreement with Nam-gu, an economic city with the nation's top-level education and cultural infrastructure and industrial base.
Mayor Lee Sang-ik said, “We are very pleased to establish a sisterhood relationship with Nam-gu,” and added, “We will actively cooperate in various fields so that the two cities can coexist and develop together.”
Mayor Kim Byeong-nae of Nam-gu said, “The sisterhood with Hampyeong County is expected to be an opportunity for joint development between the two cities,” and added, “We will further develop the precious relationship formed today and strengthen friendly cooperation.”
