[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] On the 17th, the Namwon Youth Counseling and Welfare Center (Director Jeong Il-shin), commissioned by Namwon City, conducted outreach activities for examinees together with the 1388 Youth Support Group at the main gates of Namwon High School, Namwon Girls' High School, Seongwon High School, and Seojin Girls' High School, where the college entrance exam was held.
According to the city on the 17th, the outreach activity involved personally preparing and distributing gift kits containing hot packs, masks, and chocolates to comfort the bodies and minds of examinees who were struggling and exhausted due to the COVID-19 situation and their exam preparations, while delivering messages of encouragement.
The Namwon Youth Counseling and Welfare Center operates as a central institution of the local community youth safety network, linking youth-related resources in the city to provide customized services such as counseling, protection, education, and self-reliance for at-risk youth including those who have dropped out or run away, supporting their return to family and society.
Various programs are also operated to move forward together with the youth of Namwon City.
Director Jeong Il-shin stated, “We will continue to plan and prepare customized projects for the future of youth and promote various programs that can empathize and communicate with more young people.”
