‘2022 Gwangju Jeonnam Venture Forum’ a Success... Both Associations to Utilize Infrastructure for Regular Exchange Events

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Two associations representing the venture industry in Gwangju and Jeonnam have come together to overcome the current difficult domestic and international economic conditions and gain valuable insights.
The Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Business Association (President Kim Myung-sul) announced on the 17th that it jointly held the ‘2022 Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Forum’ with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Women Venture Association (President Wi Ji-yeon).
The forum held the previous day was attended by Lee Hyun-jo, head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration; Noh Bae-sung, head of the Gwangju Regional Public Procurement Service; Na Ki-soo, president of the Innobiz Association Gwangju-Jeonnam branch; Lee Chang-ho, head of the Small and Medium Business Central Association Gwangju-Jeonnam regional headquarters; Kim Young-tak, head of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation Honam regional headquarters; Yoon Bong-geun, member of the Administrative Coordination Committee of the Prime Minister’s Office; and about 100 members of the two associations.
It was planned to provide good inspiration and positive energy to venture entrepreneurs in Gwangju and Jeonnam amid the frustrating economic situation caused by the recent COVID-19 crisis and the triple challenges.
They invited Lee Hyun-jae, director of Woowa Brothers Corp., a leading unicorn company in Korea, to give a special lecture titled ‘Baedal Minjok Service and Food Tech Innovation,’ which received great response from the attendees.
Director Lee shared the cutting-edge service features of Baedal Minjok, including big data, artificial intelligence, and delivery robots, as well as know-how on user communication.
He also introduced changes and expectations in life due to the development of food tech technology and presented new business models for the future.
In particular, as a representative global unicorn company practicing employee welfare and ESG management, it was a significant point of reference as an icon of innovation and a global leading company.
Through this forum, President Kim Myung-sul and President Wi Ji-yeon agreed to utilize the human infrastructure of both associations through regular exchange events to overcome and develop the difficult issues of the regional venture industry.
Meanwhile, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Forum serves as an educational program that shares live success stories of local small and medium venture companies, economic and venture business trends, and introduces the latest technologies and products, providing business inspiration through idea sharing and human networking.
