[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will strengthen mobile and foot patrols targeting areas expected to be densely populated with examinees in the province from 5 p.m. on the 17th, the day of the 2023 College Scholastic Ability Test.

The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced that it will conduct more than three mobile and foot patrols targeting 37 expected dense areas such as Suwon Station Rodeo Street, Ilsan La Festa, and Wirye Central Plaza, 57 movie theaters with a capacity of over 1,000 people, and entertainment districts.

During mobile patrols, if a crowd congestion situation is confirmed, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters will request related agencies such as the police to jointly disperse and manage the crowd, and in case of an accident, mobilize maximum firefighting forces for proactive response.

Chosunho, head of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, emphasized, "We will conduct mobile patrols and strengthen vigilance mainly in areas expected to be crowded with examinees after the exam to create a safe Gyeonggi-do without accidents."

The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters is preparing for emergencies by operating the 119 emergency situation room and managing situations related to examinee transportation support on the day. To this end, an emergency contact network is maintained among the Fire Agency, command center, and Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education.

Meanwhile, the total number of examinees taking this year’s CSAT in the province is 146,623.
