[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] SK Telecom and SK Broadband announced on the 17th that they will participate in the country’s largest kids exhibition, the ‘50th Seoul International Early Childhood Education & Kids Fair,’ held at COEX, Seoul from the 17th to the 20th of this month.

SKT and SKB have prepared the largest booth in the exhibition hall to introduce the kids brand ZEM service, which covers both mobile and IPTV.

The two companies will showcase a total of five zones and 12 experiential contents centered around the recently launched ‘iZEM (I Love Jam)’ marketing campaign, featuring ▲Tuntun English ▲Jam Pen ▲Living Exploration, English, and Fairy Tale series ▲ZEM app and phone ▲ZEM Place.

SKB will exhibit approximately 80,000 pieces of content, the largest number on IPTV, under the theme of ‘ZEM-enabled learning that immerses children independently.’ They will operate the Tuntun English experience zone, which is exclusively offered for free for the first time on IPTV, as well as zones for nature and science exploration content and fairy tale content experiences.

In the interactive service experience zone, the ‘Jam Pen’ will be introduced. Jam Pen is a play pen and remote control exclusively for infants and toddlers that allows learning through conversation with the TV, utilizing motion recognition functions to support children’s physical activities. There will also be experiences such as ‘Living Fairy Tale,’ which allows children to create their own fairy tales based on AR (augmented reality), and ‘Living English,’ where children can have conversations in English with AI characters. For the first time on IPTV, ‘Today’s Learning,’ which provides daily learning tailored to the child’s age and level, and ‘Coding Play with AI Robot Albert’ will also be available.

SKT will present the ZEM app, ZEM phone, and ZEM Place experience spaces along with the ZEM FIVE photo zone. The ZEM app, which has surpassed one million subscribers, offers various functions to help children who are using smartphones for the first time to independently develop proper usage habits.

Gifts are also prepared for visitors. At the on-site quiz event, prizes such as Walkerhill Hotel accommodation vouchers and family photo shoot vouchers will be offered. Following B tv ZEM on Instagram, premium experiences at Pororo World, and photo sessions with ZEM FIVE characters will also provide chances to win prizes. The ZEM app is currently running an invitation ticket event for the Early Childhood Education Fair.

Kim Hyuk, head of SK Broadband Media CO, said, "We are honored to meet B tv customers at the Seoul International Early Childhood Education & Kids Fair, the largest kids exhibition in Korea," and added, "Through the opportunity to directly experience various excellent ZEM services such as Tuntun English, Why?, Jam Pen, and the Living series, we will get closer to our customers.”
