[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] VoiceEye, a voice barcode solution company, announced on the 17th that it will expand its business area into the simple payment market through cooperation with a real estate management platform.
VoiceEye stated that on the 10th, through cooperation with the real estate management platform company 'Jeons', it decided to provide voice output functions for real estate-related documents such as lease contracts and bills.
Jeons operates 'ezREMS', a platform that allows real estate rental companies or landlords to manage multiple properties in an integrated manner. ezREMS provides services such as real estate contract management, rent and maintenance fee billing and collection, tax invoice issuance, tax reporting, and parking management. It also offers services for tenants to view various documents and receive maintenance fee notifications via mobile devices.
Through this memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Jeons, VoiceEye will insert the voice conversion barcode 'VoiceEye Code' into more than 20 types of real estate-related forms, including lease contracts, city gas usage contracts, and maintenance fee bills, to support voice services.
This is the first time in Korea that voice conversion services have been supported for real estate-related contracts. VoiceEye explained that this not only improves information accessibility for people with low vision, multicultural families, and the visually impaired but also enables voice services for the general public.
VoiceEye plans to add a simple payment function using payment information within the bills in the future. The company explained that the VoiceEye Code has the world's highest storage capacity for barcodes, capable of storing information equivalent to three A4 pages. This capacity is eight times that of QR codes and can store various types of information such as text, audio, and images.
Jung Kwon-sung, Vice President and Head of Business at VoiceEye, said, "Although VoiceEye's services have mainly been used for information-disadvantaged groups such as people with low vision and the visually impaired, with the addition of the simple payment function, the service area is expected to expand significantly to include printed materials containing payment information for the general public."
