Jinju City Job Fair to Be Held on the 18th... Resolving Hiring and Job-Seeking Difficulties

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, will hold the "2022 Jinju City Job Fair" on the 18th at the 100th Anniversary Hall of Gyeongsang National University (Chilam Campus) to revitalize the stagnant local employment market and resolve the difficulties in job seeking and recruitment.

This job fair consists of ▲ a recruitment hall where on-site interviews and recruitment consultations take place ▲ a job promotion hall introducing recruitment information from job-related organizations and relocated public institutions ▲ a special hall hosting public institution recruitment briefings ▲ and an auxiliary event hall with employment-related event booths.

This year, the event is held in conjunction with the Jinju Women's New Work Center's "Mini Job Fair" to support employment for women with career interruptions and unemployed women, and provides various employment and start-up information through a women's entrepreneur flea market and VR mock interview experiences.

The event will provide a platform for hiring local talent with the participation of 52 companies, including excellent small and medium-sized enterprises in the Jinju area and nearby cities and counties, as well as companies recommended by Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.

Human resources managers from 32 companies will attend the on-site booths directly to conduct one-on-one customized employment consultations and on-site interviews for recruitment, while 20 companies will proceed with recruitment through a recruitment agency service that receives resumes submitted by job seekers.

A public institution recruitment briefing reflecting the demands of young people will be held, providing employment guidelines such as the competencies required for the job and the type of talent companies seek. The briefing will include participation from the Small and Medium Business Corporation and Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.

Job-related organizations such as the Jinju Job Support Center, Jinju Employment Welfare Plus Center, Jinju Senior Job Creation Support Center, Middle-aged and Senior Job Hope Center, Gyeongsang National University University Job Plus Center, Small Enterprise and Market Service, and Gyeongnam Human Resources Development Committee will participate together to provide employment linkage consultations for various groups visiting the event venue.

Additionally, five relocated public institutions including Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd., Small and Medium Business Corporation, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, Korea Elevator Safety Agency, and Korea Copyright Commission will participate in the promotion hall to provide employment information.

A city official said, "The fair, held face-to-face for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, has been well prepared as a comprehensive job fair full of various recruitment information and enjoyable activities as well as local job creation," and added, "We support the employment success of job seekers who are striving for employment and hope for the participation of many job seekers."
