[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Hanyang Securities analyzed on the 16th that Wontec's performance growth is expected to accelerate with the approval of sales in the United States for its main product, the high-frequency medical device Ollisio.

Park Minju, a researcher at Hanyang Securities, explained in a report on the same day, “Ollisio, which drives Wontec's sales, is well known as a competitor to 'Thermage,'” adding, “Ollisio was the second developed worldwide and the first in Korea, and it is a device with technology that breaks down fat and helps skin elasticity.”

Researcher Park analyzed, “Currently, Ollisio and Thermage are the only ones with this technology worldwide, and Ollisio has price competitiveness compared to Thermage and does not have tip time lock.” He also added, “In terms of pain and required time, Ollisio is superior to Thermage, and it is recognized for its technological capabilities.”

Ollisio received sales approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently, following Taiwan in October. Once sales begin, rapid brand entry and expansion are expected through collaboration with local subsidiaries or partner companies. Furthermore, performance growth is expected to accelerate through references within the U.S. market.

Researcher Park stated, “The cumulative sales for the third quarter were approximately 57.2 billion KRW, already surpassing last year's year-end sales,” and predicted, “Domestic sales of Ollisio continue to steadily increase, and Ollisio tips, which are consumables, belong to a high-priced line compared to other consumables, so sales and profitability are expected to continue rising.”

He added, “Considering overseas markets, Wontec's growth potential is large, and in the mid to long term, the diverse product mix can also have a positive effect.”
