Hyun Sang-soon, Chairman of Asia Economy, and Others Selected as Recipients of the 'Hanyang Journalist Award'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Hanyang Alumni Journalists Association, a group of journalists who graduated from Hanyang University, announced on the 16th that they have selected Hyun Sang-soon, Chairman of Asia Economy, Lee Soo-hyung, CEO of Legal Newspaper, and Song Ki-yong, Editor-in-Chief of Money Today, as the recipients of the 17th Hanyang Journalists Award.


The Hanyang Alumni Journalists Association plans to present the awards to Chairman Hyun and the other recipients at the '18th Hanyang Journalists Night' event, which will be held at 7 p.m. on the 22nd at the President Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.


The '2022 Alumni Award Honoring Hanyang' selected by the Hanyang Alumni Journalists Association includes a total of 16 individuals: Cheon Kyung-jun, Chairman of Seegene; Ko Chun-hong, Chairman of Eve Sleep; Kim Dong-yeon, CEO and President of Ilyang Pharmaceutical; Kim Hee-geun, Chairman of Byucksan Engineering; Kim Hyung-il, Vice Chairman of Hanyang Co., Ltd.; Lee Bang-su, CEO and President of LG Energy Solution; Jeon Hae-sang, CEO and President of Toray Advanced Materials; Hwang Hyun-sik, CEO and President of LG Uplus; Na Hee-seung, President of Korea Railroad Corporation; Sung Dae-gyu, CEO and President of Shinhan Life Insurance; Kim Sung-ik, CEO of SK; Yoon Ho-young, CEO and President of Kakao Bank; Kim Min-pyo, CEO of Toss Payments; Kim Min-young, Vice President of Netflix; Kim Hye-yeon, CEO of N.Thing; and Jang Ji-ho, CEO of Doctor Now.


The Hanyang Alumni Journalists Association was founded on November 26, 1998, and is celebrating its 24th anniversary this year. Currently, about 1,000 alumni who graduated from Hanyang University’s undergraduate programs and are active in domestic and international media organizations are members of the association.
