LH's New President Lee Han-jun: "Restoring Trust Through 2.7 Million Housing Supply and Organizational Innovation"

Inaugural Speech on the Company Bulletin Board Without a Separate Event

LH's New President Lee Han-jun: "Restoring Trust Through 2.7 Million Housing Supply and Organizational Innovation" Lee Han-jun, President of LH (right), is greeting employees for the first time since his inauguration on the 14th.

On the 14th, Lee Han-jun, President of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), stated in his inaugural address posted on the company bulletin board, "I will open a new LH that serves the people with humility and meets the expectations of the public."

He outlined goals including ▲ successful fulfillment of LH's core role such as achieving the target of supplying 2.7 million housing units ▲ enhancing financial soundness ▲ supplying high-quality public housing that meets customer demand ▲ building a sustainable LH that responds to future changes in the residential environment.

In particular, he presented a vision to prevent social discrimination against public housing residents and strengthen social mix by supplying high-quality rental housing that addresses issues such as noise between floors, and improving residential services including expanding community spaces.

Additionally, he plans to explore measures for the redevelopment of the 1st generation new towns and the construction and management of the 3rd generation new towns, while also preparing policies on urban planning, transportation, and housing supply to respond to future demographic and social changes such as low birth rates, aging population, the 4th Industrial Revolution and mobility innovation, and carbon neutrality.

Referring to last year's LH employee land speculation scandal, President Lee said, "The misconduct of some employees betrayed the public's trust and greatly lowered the morale of the majority of employees," and added, "Please watch over LH once again with affection and trust so that we can correct past mistakes and serve the public with renewed dedication."

He urged LH employees, "Let us boldly innovate where improvements are needed and repay the public with better policies," and pledged, "We will do our utmost, with the diligence of a loyal servant, to restore the trust of the people, who are the owners and customers of LH."

Meanwhile, Lee, who took office as the 6th president on the 11th, skipped the inauguration ceremony to realize field-centered management free from formalities, and plans to visit housing supply sites as his first official schedule.

After attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the Incheon Gyeyang Technovalley public housing district, the first among the 3rd generation new towns to begin construction on the 15th, he plans to visit public housing sites in the metropolitan area to check the progress of projects.
