[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Starting from the 13th, 714 unreturned items among the lost and found belongings from the Itaewon tragedy, currently stored at the multipurpose indoor gymnasium in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, will be kept at the Yongsan Police Station.


On the 11th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that 714 unreturned items from the Itaewon incident lost and found will be moved to and stored at the Yongsan Police Station. Currently, out of the lost and found items stored at the multipurpose indoor gymnasium on Wonhyo-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, 359 items have been returned to 219 people.


The Itaewon Lost and Found Center, operating at the multipurpose indoor gymnasium, will remain open until 8 PM on the 13th.


Afterwards, bereaved families or injured persons who own lost items can visit the Yongsan Police Station to retrieve their belongings.


A police official stated, "Although lost items are usually sold or discarded after six months of acquisition, in the case of Itaewon lost items, we plan to allow sufficient time for their return."
