Gyeongnam National University Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering Receives Scholarship from Ingrid and Depth The Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering at Gyeongnam National University received scholarships from Ingrid and Depth on the 11th.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 11th, the Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering at Gyeongnam National University received a scholarship of 10 million KRW from Ingrid and 3 million KRW from Depth, respectively.


So far, the Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering has been promoting a project to discover the ‘Corporate-Linked Employment Preparation Support Fund’ centered on the ‘Future Vision Center,’ which provides a one-stop service from students' admission to employment.


As a result, in August, the department received its first scholarship of 10 million KRW from the Global Coding Institute, and subsequently awarded the scholarship to third-year student Cheon Young-gyu through announcement and interview.


At the scholarship award ceremony held that day, Ingrid, which develops platforms such as metaverse and digital twin in Changwon City, Gyeongnam, awarded a scholarship of 10 million KRW to third-year student Lee Jae-chang from the Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering, who was selected through prior announcement and interview.


Following this, Depth, which develops platforms such as BIG DATA/AI WEP·APP in Changwon City, Gyeongnam, awarded a scholarship of 3 million KRW to fourth-year student Lee Jin-joo from the Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering, selected through interview, to support employment and strengthen capabilities. With this, the Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering at Gyeongnam National University received a total of 13 million KRW in scholarships.


Professor Hwang Seung-guk said, “We will strive to discover and operate more companies continuously so that more students can receive scholarships and have a future vision.”
