[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LG Electronics' wireless and robotic vacuum cleaners have become the first in the global vacuum cleaner industry to receive indoor air quality safety certification.

On the 11th, LG Electronics announced that its CordZero wireless vacuum cleaners and robotic vacuum cleaners recently received the 'UL GREENGUARD GOLD' certification from UL Solutions, a global safety science company. The certified product lineup includes ▲premium wireless vacuum cleaners CordZero A9S and A9 ▲AI robotic vacuum cleaner CordZero R9 ▲and the new concept vacuum cleaner stand All-in-One Tower.

UL GREENGUARD is an indoor air quality safety certification awarded by strictly measuring the emission levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from products. The Gold certification is the highest grade within the UL GREENGUARD certifications. LG Electronics expects these products to be widely used not only in homes and offices but also in public facilities such as schools and medical institutions. It is anticipated to help prevent issues such as decreased concentration and productivity, sick building syndrome, and worsening of asthma and allergy symptoms that can occur from long-term exposure to organic compounds above the standard levels.

LG Electronics applies a powerful fine dust blocking system to its vacuum cleaner lineup to prevent dust or contaminants sucked in from being released back into the air.

The CordZero A9S wireless vacuum cleaner and CordZero R9 robotic vacuum cleaner separate air and dust simultaneously during suction using a whirlwind created by a turbo cyclone. Then, through a metal mesh filter, micro filter, and high-performance exhaust filter, they help prevent fine dust that has entered the vacuum cleaner from being emitted. Moreover, they belong to the UP appliance lineup, which allows continuous addition of new features through upgrades even after purchase.

LG Electronics' new concept vacuum cleaner stand, the All-in-One Tower, is equipped with a three-stage fine dust blocking system consisting of an antibacterial dust bag, motor protection filter, and high-performance exhaust filter. It helps prevent dust sucked into the vacuum cleaner from leaking outside. It is designed to enable wireless vacuum charging, accessory storage, and dustbin emptying all at once.

Previously, in July, the LG Whisen Tower Air Conditioner became the first domestic standing air conditioner to receive UL GREENGUARD GOLD certification, and last year, the LG Whisen Dual Vane System Air Conditioner was the first in the industry to obtain the UL GREENGUARD GOLD certification.

Baek Seungtae, Vice President and Head of the Living Appliance Division at LG Electronics' H&A (Home Appliance & Air Solution) Business Division, said, "Through the LG CordZero wireless and robotic vacuum cleaners, which consider not only excellent performance and convenience but also health and the environment, we will provide a differentiated customer experience."
