On that day, Mayor Park held a meeting with Director Jin Hyun-hwan and urged the prompt advancement of five local projects included in the 5th Five-Year Plan for National and Local Road Construction (2021?2025), and requested that major local pending projects be maximally reflected in the 7th phase of the national road hazardous road and bottleneck improvement projects.

The national road construction projects included in the 5th Five-Year Plan for National and Local Road Construction, such as National Road No. 58 Bubuk?Sangdong, National Road No. 25 Bubuk?Sangnam Bypass Road, and National Road No. 24 Muan?Bubuk, are currently in the basic and detailed design stages. The National Road No. 58 Bubuk Jedae?Unjeon section and Samrangjin Samrang national road construction projects are also scheduled to begin basic and detailed design next year.

Additionally, to improve six areas including the Cheonghak Interchange on National Road No. 58, which have vulnerable road geometry, bottleneck sections, and safety concerns due to traffic accident risks, the mayor requested that these be reflected in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s 7th phase basic plan for national road hazardous road and bottleneck improvement projects.

Mayor Park said, “To create a balanced and well-connected transportation hub city, we will continue to cooperate with the Busan Regional Land Management Office to ensure that local pending projects are resolved in a timely manner.”
