Seoul City Provides Venue, Accounting Firm Sup Donates Benches and Plants... Mutual Agreement for 5 Years of Joint Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 10th that, through the social contribution activities of the accounting firm Sup, it has completed the creation of a new resting area for citizens called Bench Park in Seoul Forest Park.
The newly established Bench Garden was created through a donation of benches, flowers, and trees worth approximately 9 million KRW from the accounting firm Sup. In particular, the combination of designer chairs and beautiful plants is expected to provide visitors to Seoul Forest with a space to rest briefly as well as a new photo zone.
So far, Seoul Forest has seen the creation of 10 corporate-sponsored gardens and 6 bench gardens through voluntary donations from companies and citizens, offering visitors a variety of unique and diverse attractions in each area.
Since its establishment in 2021, the accounting firm Sup has resolved to allocate a certain portion of its operating revenue annually to social contribution activities, and as its first donation activity, it created a Bench Garden in Seoul Forest and donated it to Seoul City. To create the Bench Garden, Seoul City provided a location within Seoul Forest, and the accounting firm Sup donated designer chairs and trees for planting, transforming a vacant lot into a beautiful garden.
Seoul City plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the accounting firm Sup on the 15th regarding maintenance and management, and will strive to ensure the smooth upkeep and preservation of the Bench Garden. Seoul City will provide the site for garden creation, set basic directions for project execution, support administrative cooperation and promotion, while the accounting firm Sup will donate sponsorship items for the Bench Garden to Seoul City and jointly manage the project planning, construction, and facility maintenance for the next five years under the MOU.
Kim In-sook, Director of the Eastern Park Leisure Center, expressed gratitude for the voluntary and meaningful support from the accounting firm Sup, stating, “As interest and activities in social contribution by citizens and companies have become more active, we will strive to offer citizens a more diverse park experience.”
