Changwon Seongsan Fire Station "Thank You for Protecting Citizens' Lives and Property"

60th Firefighters' Day Commemoration and Award Ceremony for Meritorious Service Recipients

Gyeongnam Changwon Seongsan Fire Station held a commendation ceremony for contributors to fire service development in celebration of Fire Service Day.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 9th, the Seongsan Fire Station in Changwon, Gyeongnam, held a commendation ceremony for fire service development contributors in the 3rd-floor conference room to mark the 60th Fire Service Day.

The ceremony was organized to encourage firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and fire safety managers who dedicate themselves to protecting citizens' lives and property at various disaster sites. Due to the Itaewon incident, the commemorative ceremony was omitted, and only the commendation ceremony was held.

The fire station awarded a total of 42 commendations: 1 Presidential Citation, 1 Ministry of the Interior and Safety Citation, 6 Fire Agency Chief Citations, 11 Changwon Mayor Citations, 1 Changwon City Council Chairman Citation, and 22 Seongsan Fire Station Chief Citations.

Chief Lee Gil-ha said, “I express my gratitude to the firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and fire safety managers who always quietly work hard to protect citizens' lives and property,” and added, “I hope you will continue to strive for fire service development and citizens' safety.”
