Securing Competitiveness Through Scaling and Organizing Agricultural Enterprises
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Jeonnam Muan-gun is actively promoting the Food Crop Joint Management Body Development Project.
The Food Crop Joint Management Body Development Project is a public contest project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs aimed at fostering management bodies that jointly manage farmland units of 50ha or more through organization and scaling.
This year, five agricultural corporations in the county were selected as eligible applicants for the food crop joint management body development project for crops such as rice beans and wheat, receiving a total project budget of 1.2 billion KRW including national subsidies.
Furthermore, next year, eight agricultural corporations that participated in the contest for the flour rice production complex project and the joint management body development project were all selected, and a project budget of 2.2 billion KRW will be supported.
In addition, on the 4th, the county held an agricultural policy meeting at the Agricultural Technology Center conference room with executives and employees of local regional and item-specific agricultural cooperatives to provide an explanatory session to help understand national and provincial subsidy contest projects and to listen to opinions from the agricultural field, fostering communication.
County Governor Kim San said, “We will continue to expand and foster the Food Crop Joint Management Body Development Project to scale and organize agricultural management bodies, improve rice quality, and expand production bases.”
