[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] On November 8th, the Yeongyang County Young Farmers Imagination Center visited the Yeongyang County Community Security Council and donated 60 jars of homemade gochujang, asking them to be delivered to vulnerable groups in the region.
The gochujang was made by young farmers who donated 30kg of red pepper powder and used meju powder, corn syrup, and wild herbs. They carefully mixed the ingredients by hand and stirred them three times, producing pure wild herb gochujang without any preservatives. In addition to the county council, the gochujang was also delivered to the Volunteer Center, the Association for the Disabled in Transportation, and the Senior Citizens' Hall.
The Yeongyang Young Farmers Imagination Center is an organization of young farmers supported by Gyeongbuk Province to contemplate and carry out creative activities related to local agriculture and rural areas. They provide necessary supplies to blind spots in the region through various methods and actively participate in diverse volunteer activities beyond just providing goods.
Mr. Lee (born in 1935, Yeongyang-eup), who received the gochujang, said, "How did the young people make the gochujang? Thank you. I will enjoy it."
Representative Yoo Sang-woo said, "It was hard to make the gochujang, but while making it, I thought a lot about the elderly living in the same area. I hope it is well delivered to neighbors in need who do not receive help. We will continue to participate steadily in practicing love for neighbors through sharing activities wherever help is needed in the community."
Oh Do-chang, the public representative chairman, said, "Thank you for your careful attention to vulnerable groups in the region. We will use the gochujang, a healthy food full of sincerity, in precious places so that the warm hearts can be well conveyed."
