Home&Shopping Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation for Excellence in Product Safety Management

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Home&Shopping announced on the 8th that it received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation in the product safety management meritorious organization category, hosted by the National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Product Safety Management Institute.

On the 8th, at the '2022 Product Safety Day' event held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Home&Shopping was recognized for its contribution to public safety through product safety activities and received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation.

Home&Shopping explained that it was acknowledged for its achievements in blocking the distribution of hazardous products. Home&Shopping established a sales blocking system and, over the past five years, received 6,084 reports of hazardous products and successfully blocked 135 cases. Additionally, it has built a collaborative system with professional testing and certification agencies and outsourced inspection institutions to focus on quality and authenticity verification management of overseas-produced products.

Home&Shopping has also established and utilizes its own testing equipment to check for harmful substances and pre-inspect functions and performance. To prevent product quality issues in advance, it internally conducts tests using a total of 39 testing devices.
