[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will hold the '2022 Second Half Global Job Fair' for two days starting from the 10th of this month at the aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul. It is the largest overseas employment fair in Korea, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, marking its 20th year this year. The event targets young job seekers.

Approximately 2,000 young job seekers are expected to attend on-site.

KOTRA reported that among the participants in this job fair, Japanese companies are the most numerous with 53 firms. By job category, management and office administration positions such as marketing, accounting, and finance accounted for the largest number with 312 (54%). Following were service jobs in education, hotel, and food service sectors with 107 (18%), and IT positions with 69 (12%).

Jeon Chunwoo, head of KOTRA's Small and Medium Enterprises Division, said, "As international travel returns to normal, the demand for global talent recruitment from overseas employers is recovering," adding, "We will actively support overseas employment to help young people develop their careers and enhance their global competitiveness."
