Tangle-Tangle 'Taste of Busan' Fish Cake Combo Released... Samjin Eomuk and Lotte Cinema Collaboration Launch

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan local fish cake manufacturer Samjin Fish Cake launched a new menu item, the ‘Samjin Fish Cake Combo,’ in collaboration with Lotte Cinema on the 9th.

The combo product will first be introduced at 13 Lotte Cinema locations in Busan and Gyeongnam, including Gwangbok, Dongnae, Centum City, Seomyeon, Busan Main Branch, O2, Daeyoung, Dongbusan Outlet, Changwon, Gimhae Buwon, Gimhae Outlet, Jinhae, and Jinju Innovation Branch.

The combo consists of Samjin Fish Cake’s popular snack product ‘Fisherman’s Bar,’ popcorn, and two carbonated drinks. For the Fisherman’s Bar in this menu, customers can choose one flavor from vegetable, spicy, whole shrimp, or corn cheese according to their preference.

The combo, available from the 9th, can be found at the 13 theaters in Busan and Gyeongnam until the end of this year, and in addition to the combo, the four types of Samjin Fish Cake Fisherman’s Bar will also be sold individually.

Hwang Moon-soo, regional manager of Lotte Cinema Busan and Gyeongnam, said, “The collaboration between Samjin Fish Cake and Lotte Cinema is expected to greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy,” adding, “We will fulfill our social responsibility by cooperating with local companies and growing together.”

Samjin Fish Cake is making strides toward the ‘globalization of fish cake,’ ranking among the top 10 popular Korean foods in the U.S. based on the online sales platform ‘Amazon’ rankings.

In 2020, it was selected as the number one brand in the seafood processed food category in the 23rd Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) survey.
