[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) Graduate School recently awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree to Chairman Lee Byung-chul of Yakson Myungga Co., Ltd. at the Sohyang Art Hall in Dongseo University New Millennium Hall.
Dongseo University announced that it highly values Chairman Lee's contributions in promoting the K-Beauty industry worldwide through Yakson Therapy, which he founded in 1979, Yakson Myungga in 1981, and Yakson Myungga Academy in 1999, and thus awarded him the honorary Doctor of Science degree.
Chairman Lee has grown Yakson Myungga into a global aesthetic group with 115 domestic branches and 27 overseas chains in countries including China, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Singapore. He is also dedicated to nurturing future talents by signing industry-academic cooperation agreements with over 60 universities in Korea and providing scholarships.
Chairman Lee received a commendation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea at the 2013 K-Beauty Design World Competition and was awarded the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the 2018 Korea Sharing Grand Prize. He has achieved 'No. 1 in Korea Consumer Satisfaction Index' for five consecutive years and 'Korea Brand Power Award' for ten consecutive years.
