Imsil-gun Holds Musical Performance to Prevent Youth Smoking and Drinking

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] On the 2nd, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, conducted smoking and drinking prevention and oral health education through a musical performance for 88 students of Osu Elementary School.


According to the county on the 3rd, this musical performance was designed to create empathy by telling stories that students might experience regarding smoking and drinking, and was conducted as a musical where students could participate together through quizzes and pledges, making what could have been a boring education interesting and engaging, thereby enhancing its effectiveness.


The students who participated in the education expressed high satisfaction, stating that the program provided an opportunity to realize how dangerous smoking and drinking during adolescence are and the seriousness of these issues.


Kim Daegon, Director of the Health and Medical Center, said, “The age at which people first experience cigarettes and alcohol is getting younger, and many cases continue as habits into adulthood. We will continue to conduct student-centered smoking prevention education to ensure that local youth can grow up healthily.”
