190 On-Site Workers Targeted from 1st to 2nd for Disease and Industrial Accident Prevention
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Over the course of two days on the 1st and 2nd, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam conducted special health examinations for on-site workers to protect their health from various harmful factors in the workplace and to create a safe working environment.
A special health examination is a health check conducted for workers exposed to harmful factors such as noise, dust, chemicals, and night work, in accordance with Article 130 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
Accordingly, the county carried out special health examinations for 190 on-site workers through a mobile bus screening by Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital, and also conducted general health examinations concurrently for those who wished.
Through this special health examination, the county expects to detect occupational diseases early, prevent industrial accidents, and ensure that workers can work in a safer and more comfortable environment, thereby guaranteeing a healthy working life.
A county official stated, “Based on the health examination results of on-site workers, we will do our best to create an environment where workers can perform their duties healthily and energetically,” adding, “In the future, through periodic health examinations, we will detect occupational diseases caused by exposure to harmful factors early and protect workers’ health from occupational diseases through appropriate follow-up management and prompt treatment support.”
