[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Police Agency's Special Investigation Headquarters (Special Investigation HQ) announced on the 2nd that they investigated the man wearing a 'tokki meoritti' (rabbit headband), who was suspected of deliberately pushing the crowd during the Itaewon disaster, on the 1st as a witness.
According to the Special Investigation HQ, Mr. A denied the allegations during the police investigation by presenting his movement route prior to the disaster. The police are also identifying and tracking another woman wearing a tokki meoritti who is presumed to have pushed the victims during the incident.
Earlier, immediately after the disaster on the 29th of last month, suspicions such as "a group of 5 to 6 people started pushing," "a man wearing a tokki meoritti pushed," and "someone shouted to push" were raised on social networking services (SNS).
